We have made some awesome friends here in Glendale and we've been lucky enough to spend a few October weekends with the Harrisons. Nate is a D4 just like Nathan, Kirsten and I have a ton of fun together, and little Chloe is my favorite 18-month-old ever. So obviously I'm always happy to spend time with them.
First we went to the Arizona State Fair together. We got corn dogs (which were surprisingly really good, especially the corn bread part) and funnel cake, rode the Ferris wheel and the ghetto Supreme Scream, and hung out at the petting zoo (baby goats and piglets!). It was so much fun (and awesome people watching). I think Nathan's favorite part was the massage chair that he and Nate found and didn't want to get out of. Sadly $5,000 for a chair is a little out of our budget right now!

A few weeks later, Nathan was in Boise for Brian Hymas's wedding and Nate and Kirsten were kind enough to let me come along for their family trip to the pumpkin patch. Chloe was less than impressed by this petting zoo, and just wanted to push the pumpkins over, but she was flat out obsessed with the kettle corn we bought to snack on. The bag was almost as tall as she is - so cute! We kept joking that we looked like a polygamous family, but I think it looked more like I was the single aunt tagging along for the day. Either way, it was fun, but I wish Nathan had been there. Next year I'll drag him to a pumpkin patch!
